Azia Riza

Azia Novia Riza performs as Zia Riza, and comedy is one strand of a career that also takes in singing and presenting. She studied civil engineering at Universitas Pertamina in Jakarta, and the way into performing ran through song covers posted to Instagram rather than through a comedy club.

Her first attempt at Indonesian Idol came in the tenth season, where she went out at the elimination stage; the return in the thirteenth took her as far as the showcase round. Alongside the singing she released the singles Wrong Place, Sweet Fireflies and Seolah Satu Nama, and recorded Sahabat with the group Lalahuta. The comedy reaches people mainly as short social media pieces, which is where most of her following was built.
