About Coki Anwar
Coki Anwar, born Choirul Anwar on January 2, 1985, is an Indonesian stand-up comedian based in the Stand Up Indo Jogja community. He is known for a performance style that sets him apart from other comedians: a strong, temperamental and seemingly harsh stage persona, delivered without easily laughing at his own material.
Against that persona he presents strange, absurd and unconventional material, and the contrast between the two is what draws laughs from his audience. He gained wider recognition after competing in the Stand Up Comedy Academy season 2 (SUCA 2), broadcast by Indosiar in 2016.
