About Coki Pardede
Reza Pardede (born 21 January 1988), known as Coki Pardede, is an Indonesian stand-up comedian, singer, radio broadcaster, presenter, actor and podcaster. Coki was a contestant in the Stand Up Comedy Indonesia talent search on Kompas TV in its fourth season and in Stand Up Comedy Academy season two. Coki is a graduate of the English Literature study programme at Universitas Gunadarma.
As a stand-up comedian, Coki came from the Stand Up Indo Depok community. In 2014, Coki took part in the fourth season of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia on Kompas TV and lasted until the top 7. Two years later he again took part, recorded as a finalist of Stand Up Comedy Academy season two in 2016, surviving until the top 9. Coki then, together with Tretan Muslim and several comedians, formed a group called Majelis Lucu Indonesia. Muslim and Coki also popularized the "Pemuda Tersesat" content featuring the figure Habib Husein Ja'far Al-Hadar.
On 20 October 2018, Coki and Tretan Muslim were accused of blasphemy against Islam, stemming from a YouTube video about how to cook pork; on 30 October 2018 they agreed to take responsibility by resigning from Majelis Lucu Indonesia. On 1 September 2021, Coki was arrested by Polres Metro Tangerang Kota over possession of 0.5 grams of methamphetamine at his residence in Kabupaten Tangerang, Banten.
