About Gerall Saprilla
Gerall Saprilla is an Indonesian stand-up comedian born on April 4, 1998, in Belinyu, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung, who later settled in Sukabumi, West Java, after a period living in Lampung. He began performing stand-up in 2017 after finishing vocational school and joined the Stand Up Indo Sukabumi community. He has performed stand-up abroad, including a show called Haha Hihi at a comedy club in Osaka, Japan. In 2022 he became the youngest of the thirteen finalists on the tenth season of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia on Kompas TV, reaching the top five before elimination. His comedy blends impersonation with an absurdist, unpredictable style that observers have compared to fellow comedians Indra Frimawan and Cak Lontong. Since the competition he has appeared on television programs including Tonight Show Premiere on NET and hosted the travel program Jalan Jalan Sultan on Moji. He has also drawn public attention, and a formal police complaint from a deaf community organization, over a 2024 social media clip in which he mimicked sign language gestures.
