About Ridwan Remin

Muhammad Ridwan, better known by his stage name Ridwan Remin, born 31 May 1992, is an Indonesian stand-up comedian and actor. He is one of the stand-up comedians who came from the Stand Up Indo Bogor community and has been actively involved there since the community was founded in 2011. He reached the peak of his popularity when he took part in the seventh season of the Stand Up Comedy Indonesia Kompas TV competition in 2017 and succeeded in becoming champion. He graduated with a degree in Management from Universitas Djuanda.

Ridwan was inspired to become a stand-up comedian after watching a stand-up show on a private television station. In 2011 he finally tried open mic, and his first performance was very successful, making the whole audience laugh. He was one of the finalists of the third season of Street Comedy in 2013 and also performed several times at national-level stand-up events, such as StandUpFest organised annually by the Stand Up Indo community.

His consistency paid off in 2017, when he became one of the finalists of the seventh season of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia Kompas TV. Ridwan had been auditioning since the end of 2012 and several times received a golden ticket, but kept failing to reach the finalist stage. After being absent from the audition in the sixth season, he returned to audition in the seventh season through a digital audition and was called to take part in the general audition directly in Jakarta without having to queue. He passed again and became a finalist, eventually reaching the grand final, where he faced Mamat Alkatiri, a finalist from Fakfak, and was crowned champion after a fierce grand final.
