Rigen Rakelna

Rigen Rakelna, born 19 November 1991, is an Indonesian stand-up comedian, actor and presenter. He was the champion of the fifth season of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia Kompas TV in 2015, qualifying through the audition in Surabaya and becoming one of the 16 finalists who reached the final round. Rigen was born in Surabaya as the eldest of five siblings; his birth name, given by his parents, was Wera Sape Muhammad Rizki Putra Kelana Buana Hori Co'o Rakab Siwe. He spent his childhood through primary school in Jakarta, then moved to Bima, his hometown, to continue his schooling. The name Rigen is a shortening of "Rizki Gendut" so as to distinguish him from others named Rizki. He is recorded as a graduate of Sekolah Tinggi Teknik YPLN, where he studied Informatics Engineering.

Rigen first became interested in stand-up comedy in 2012, when one of his boarding-house friends registered him for a stand-up competition at his campus; he performed despite not yet knowing the art form and failed. He then joined the Stand Up Indo West Jakarta community that same year and began performing open mic with friends. In 2014 they competed in the fourth season of Street Comedy but only reached the semifinals. The following year he took part in the audition for the fifth season of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia Kompas TV, travelling from Surabaya to Jakarta; he had also auditioned in the fourth season. He progressed to become one of the 16 finalists and, sometimes singing verses of songs to strengthen his comedy material, performed consistently, reaching the grand final, which for the first time featured three remaining finalists competing for the title, earning him the label of "dark horse" before he was crowned champion.

Rigen is currently part of the comedy group GJLS, together with Ananta Rispo and Hifdzi Khoir. In 2024 he also entered the music world by forming a band called Babagen Moods with Priyo Pambudi, Reza Raup, Ole Lemos, Akbar Amirrulah, Helmi Besason and Kicuy Aduy, releasing a single titled "Modal Kocak" with a reggae feel on 10 March 2024. Since November 2024 he has joined the motorcycle group Bedain alongside several comedians such as Boris Bokir, Dicky Difie, Indra Jegel and Ananta Rispo, plus three members of The Prediksi, namely Andre Taulany, Tora Sudiro and Desta.
