About Sadana Agung
Sadana Agung is a stand-up comedian and actor whose comedy was formed in the open-mic community of Salatiga. He joined Stand Up Indo Salatiga in 2012, around the time he was studying visual communication design at Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana, and in 2015 he entered the fifth season of Street Comedy Indonesia.
The national breakthrough came on Stand Up Comedy Indonesia, the Kompas TV competition, in its sixth season. Nobody expected him to go deep, which is where the "dark horse" tag came from. Over nine performances in a row, senior comedian Indro gave his sets the approving verdict "kompor gas", and Sadana held on until the top four before his run ended.
Acting has since become a large part of his work. His film roles include Slamet in Gila Lu Ndro!, Rendy in Preman Pensiun, Obet in Agak Laen and the neighbourhood watchman in both Waktu Maghrib films, and he voiced Jang Bewok in the animated Si Juki the Movie: Harta Pulau Monyet. On television he played Dana in the Trans TV series Kos-kosan Me-Me and performed on Stand Up Seru for Kompas TV.
