About Saga Sabara
Saga Sabara is an Indonesian cardiologist (Sp.JP, FIHA) who works at Rumah Sakit Tembaga Pura in Papua and performs stand-up comedy alongside his medical career. Described by his alma mater as one of its top alumni, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Lampung in 2008, and treats comedy as a form of catharsis from the pressures of medical practice, drawing material from his daily encounters with patients and colleagues. In 2026 he competed in Stand Up Comedy Indonesia (SUCI) season 12 on Kompas TV, advancing to Show 3 of the competition, and became a minor media sensation for being a heart specialist willing to cancel patient appointments and step away from his practice for weeks at a time in order to keep performing.
