Andrea Rivera

Andrea Rivera built his act on the techniques of street artists, looking for a different way of talking to an audience, and his satirical theatre follows the line of Giorgio Gaber. That work brought him the jury's mention at the Premio Gaber in 2004. Television viewers got to know him through the programmes of Serena Dandini: in Parla con me he played the "citofonista", and in The Show Must Go Off he ran double interviews in which he took the part of both people being interviewed.

Music has always run beside the comedy. The CD Prossime aperture came out in 2008, Me li suono e me la canto paired a book with a disc of songs in 2010, and Verranno giorni migliori was made with Roberto Angelini and Daniele Rossi producing. From 2020 to 2023 he was a field correspondent for Striscia la notizia on Canale 5.

Hosting live events is the other constant in his work. He was among the presenters of the Primo Maggio concert in Rome in 2007, where his remarks aimed at the church hierarchy were called a vile attack by L'Osservatore Romano, and he later joined Valentina Correani and Valentina Petrini at the helm of the Primo Maggio concert in Taranto.
