About Stefano Sarcinelli
Stefano Sarcinelli is an Italian comedian, actor and playwright born on January 13, 1960 in Bari, Apulia. A veteran of the Italian comedy scene since the late 1970s, he is best known for his long-running comic duo with Francesco Paolantoni at Zelig in Milan and as a co-author of the Rai 2 prime-time show Stasera tutto e possibile.
Sarcinelli started at seventeen as an actor and assistant director with major figures of Italian theatre such as Nello Mascia, Mariano Rigillo and Annibale Ruccello in Naples and Franco Parenti at Teatro dell'Elfo in Milan, where he performed in A Midsummer Night's Dream. In 1985 he made his TV debut at Zelig in a comedy duo with Francesco Paolantoni, a partnership he revisited in the theatrical comedies Due botte a settimana, O tello o io and Ancora?! touring Italian theatres from 2022. Since 2016 he has been a co-author on the Rai 2 variety show Stasera tutto e possibile hosted by Amadeus and later Stefano De Martino, and he wrote for the theatre show P-Factor with Marco Marzocca and Andrew Faber. His work blends absurdist character comedy, improvisation and surreal duo dynamics rather than classic club stand-up.
Sarcinelli currently tours Italian theatres alongside Francesco Paolantoni in the comedies O tello o io and Ancora?!, with confirmed dates at venues such as Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari and the Orfeo Summer Festival. His Zelig duo sketches and Stasera tutto e possibile segments are available on the Rai and Mediaset platforms and on YouTube.
