Daniel Y. Wilson

Daniel Y. Wilson is a bilingual comedian, born in Japan and raised in Arizona, who performs both Manzai comedy and English-language solo stand-up in Tokyo. A graduate of Watanabe Entertainment's comedy school, he spent about eight years performing Manzai with one of Japan's leading talent agencies as one half of the duo Badonkadonk, appearing on Japanese television comedy programs. Alongside that duo work, Wilson also performs English-language solo stand-up comedy, including his show Let Me Teach You Some Japanese, which blends stand-up material, mock language lessons and stories from inside Japan's comedy industry. He hosts two podcasts, the Japanese-language Badonkadonk Podcast and the English-language Super Great Time Tokyo, and tours internationally with the Monsters of Tokyo showcase alongside other comedians who came up through Tokyo Comedy Bar.
