About Nurlan Saburov
Nurlan Saburov comes from Stepnogorsk and learned his trade far from home, in Yekaterinburg, where he enrolled at the physical education faculty of Ural Federal University. As a student he played KVN, tried out stand-up and, together with friends, put on comedy nights in the city's bars and concert venues. He performs in Russian.
After the Open Mic appearance on TNT's Stand Up he moved to Moscow, and from 2014 he was a resident of the same show. A wider audience followed through the internet: What Happened Next?, the programme he hosts on LABELCOM, was paused and later carried on through VK Video. Forbes put him on its 30 under 30 list in the new media category in 2020. His screen work includes the films Brother or Marriage and Stas.
