Alexa Zuart

Alexa Zuart is a Mexican stand-up comedian, actress, and former preschool teacher from Mexico City, raised between the Álamos neighborhood and the municipality of Nezahualcóyotl in the State of Mexico. She is widely known on social media under the handle SoyMuyNecia, where she built a viral audience with sketches that channel a scolding Mexican mother and an exasperated office employee. Her stand-up career took shape over the second half of the 2010s and exploded after she began posting clips to social platforms. In 2026 she made her television acting debut in the Mexican adaptation of The Office, La Oficina, on Amazon Prime Video, while continuing to tour her stand-up across Mexico.

Alexa Zuart trained as a preschool teacher at the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional and worked as a maestra in Nezahualcóyotl while raising her son, whom she had at seventeen. After her son asked her in 2015 why she was not on TV like other comedians, she began taking comedy workshops and writing stand-up. By 2018 she was performing regularly on the Mexico City open-mic scene, and her viral SoyMuyNecia character cemented her national following. She has since headlined her stand-up show in venues across Mexico, including the Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico City and the Teatro Galerías in Guadalajara, with tour stops in Morelia, Mérida, Cancún, Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, Monterrey, Saltillo, Torreón, Hermosillo, Nogales, San Luis Potosí, and across the United States. Her Comedy Central México set Nací Porque en el 85 el Aborto Era Ilegal is among her best-known short stand-up pieces. In 2024 she did a much-discussed appearance with Franco Escamilla, where he broke down on camera while listening to her childhood story in Nezahualcóyotl. In March 2026 she joined the cast of La Oficina on Amazon Prime Video as Mine Romero, a marketing specialist for Jabones Olimpo, marking her acting debut and a tenth-anniversary milestone in her comedy career. She is also publicly an LGBT+ ally.

Alexa Zuart tours stand-up regularly across Mexico, with confirmed dates in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and across the north of the country, as well as Mexican-American audiences in the United States. Her viral stand-up clips, including Nací Porque en el 85 el Aborto Era Ilegal, are on the Comedy Central México YouTube channel. Her acting role as Mine Romero in La Oficina is on Amazon Prime Video. Tour announcements appear on her Instagram and TikTok under @soymuynecia and via her agency Brandmance.
