Ana Julia Yeyé

Ana Julia Yeyé is a Mexico City stand-up comedian who worked in an advertising agency when she began performing comedy in 2013, continuing to do both for about three years before leaving her office job to focus fully on stand-up. Her material centers on pride, homophobia, machismo and self-love, often addressing her androgynous look, audience reactions to it, and discovering her own sexuality later than those around her. In 2014 she won the Mr. Stand Up competition, ironically the only woman selected that year, and the following year she was a finalist in the Stand Up Wars competition. She has performed across stages in Mexico City and other parts of the country, appeared on Comedy Central, and took part in the Netflix comedy special 'Zona Rosa.' She also hosts several podcasts, including 'Chichis Pa la Banda,' 'Radio Manguito Chupado' and 'Las Cabras,' and maintains an official YouTube channel.
