About Verónica Toussaint
Verónica Eréndira Toussaint Rincón Gallardo, known as Verónica Toussaint, was a Mexican actress, comedian, screenwriter and television presenter. Born on 15 March 1976 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, the youngest of three children, she moved with her family to Mexico City in early childhood and later studied at the Núcleo de Estudios Teatrales and earned a communication degree from Universidad Anáhuac. She made her acting debut in 2001 in the telenovela Cara o cruz and went on to host the programs ¡Qué importa! (2016 to 2020) and ¡Qué chulada! (2020 to 2024). She also performed a stand-up comedy show called Están encerrados and ran a YouTube channel, Ser yoga, focused on breathing and meditation. Her film credits include Polar Bear (2017) and Impossible Things (2021). In October 2021 Toussaint announced she had been diagnosed with breast cancer; she died from the disease on 16 May 2024 in Mexico City at the age of 48.
