About SLK
SLK, born Oluwaponmile Salako, turned professional in December 2009 and works as a stand-up comedian, actor and compere. Most people found him through Boda Wasiu, the skit character he introduced in 2016, who calls out famous people while taking aim at social issues.
His first stand-up special, Thank God I'm Funny, was performed live with guest appearances from other comedians and later premiered in cinemas. The second, Teetotaler, arrived on Netflix in May 2023 and deals with social and cultural questions that run across Africa.
Film work sits beside the stand-up: he has acted in It's Her Day, Becoming Abi and Daluchi and appeared in television productions. His comedy has been nominated at The Future Awards Africa and at the Naija FM Comedy Awards.
