About Abelard Giza
Abelard Piotr Giza is a Polish comedian, stand-up performer, writer, filmmaker and actor, born on 15 September 1980. He co-founded the comedy group Kabaret Limo, which he was part of from 1999 until it disbanded in 2014.
As a solo performer, Giza has created a series of stand-up shows, including Proteus Vulgaris (2015), Ludzie, trzymajcie kapelusze (2016), Numer 3 (2018), Piniata (2019), Zaodrze (2021) and Wentyl (2024).
His screen work includes creating, writing, directing and starring in the 2018 web miniseries Kryzys, and co-writing the comedy film Juliusz, released the same year. He also wrote and directed the independent films Towar (2005), W stepie szerokim (2007) and Swing (2013), played Mataj in the 2019 film The Last Loner, and lent his voice to the Netflix series Kayko and Kokosh (2021) and the animated film Iggy the Eagle (2025).
Giza is also an author. His books include the non-fiction titles Łapy precz od żartów (2018, written with Jacek Stramik) and Zagłada i czekoladki (2021), plus the short story collection Otworzyć po mojej śmierci (2021) and the 2025 children's book Hania, Tyśka i Szajka Brudziaków. With Wojciech Tremiszewski he co-wrote and narrated the audio plays Mucha Lena (2021) and its sequel Mucha Lena 2: Król Brokatu (2023).
