Karol Modzelewski

Karol Modzelewski is a Polish stand-up comedian, radio presenter and traveler who has been active on the Polish stand-up scene since 2012. He gained his first stage and television experience as part of the comedy duo Bekarty Stand-Upu, and has since appeared on MTV, TVN, Polsat, TVP and Comedy Central. Alongside his stand-up work, he is a presenter for the radio station RMF FM.

One of his best-known solo shows, "Afryka," was built around real stories from a car rally across the African continent; it served as one of his flagship programs before he retired it in 2023 in favor of new material. His live shows often use a projector to display photographs and footage from his own travels, giving his sets a reportage-like quality, and he has said his stories are drawn from real events rather than invented. He reached a wider audience during the COVID-19 pandemic with the YouTube series "Newsy bez wirusa" (News Without a Virus), created as an alternative to mainstream pandemic coverage. In 2024 and 2025 he toured a new program called "Banka," addressing information and social bubbles. His comedy is often noted for relying on observation and absurdity rather than profanity.
