Salvador Martinha

Salvador Maria Ferro Pinto de Magalhaes Martinha, known as Salvador Martinha (Lisboa, 6 April 1983), is a Portuguese comedian. He became a common presence on Portuguese television through his appearances on programs such as Levanta-te e Ri and Sal, as well as through the shows he performed over time, such as Cabula and Centro das Atencoes. He was the first Portuguese comedian to have his own show on Netflix. He was born in Lisboa, the son of Miguel Augusto Pinto de Magalhaes Martinha and the writer Rita Ferro, and is the brother of clinical psychologist Marta Gautier. He married Teresa Franca Alves and had two children, Maria Antonia (born 2015) and Joaquim Xavier (born 2019).

In 2017, he created his podcast Ar livre, one of the first in Portugal in the format of free and relaxed conversation. His stand-up work includes Salvador esta numa relacao a solo (2010), Salvador ao vivo (2012), Cabula (2014), Na Ponta da Lingua (2015), Tipo Anti-Heroi (2016), Centro das Atencoes (2017), Cabeca Ausente (2018), Ar Livre (2020), Teremos sempre Stand-Up (2021) and Aura Super Jovem (2024).

On television, his work includes Levanta-te e Ri (SIC, 2003), Alex & Salvador (SIC Radical, 2012) and Sal (2014). In streaming, he appeared in Rabo de Peixe (Netflix, 2023) as the character Inspetor Francisco. In cinema, he appeared in Ruas Rivais (2014). He also worked in radio and was co-author of "Off the Record" in the newspaper Record, and from 2022 has been a columnist in the magazine Time Out.
