Andrei Ciobanu

Andrei Ciobanu is a Romanian stand-up comedian, writer, and radio personality born on July 1, 1989, in Suceava, Romania. He studied History at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj, where he joined the Comedica comedy club and began performing stand-up. He later moved to Bucharest and became widely known as a member of the comedy troupe Sector 7 and as the longtime host of the morning show on Kiss FM. With nearly 200K Instagram followers and 465K TikTok followers, he is one of the most active Romanian comedians on social media.

Andrei Ciobanu released his debut full stand-up special "Bucovina" in 2013 on YouTube, drawing on his roots in northeastern Romania. He followed it with "Transhumanta," a special produced for the Voyo.ro streaming platform. In 2024 he released "Toata lumea se cearta" on YouTube, addressing contemporary social conflicts and everyday frustrations. He co-wrote and performed joint specials with comedian Sergiu Floroaia, and the two also collaborated on viral music parodies including "U.N.C.U.I" and "Eco (Hipster song)." In 2015, he published the bestselling book "Suck it, Ramona!". He also opened for American comedian Eddie Griffin during a Bucharest show. His observational style blends sharp social commentary with autobiographical material and improv-influenced delivery.
