Cătălin Bordea

Catalin Bordea, known on stage as Bordea, is a Romanian stand-up comedian, actor, podcaster, and television personality from Botosani. He studied painting at Stefan Luchian Art High School before enrolling at UNATC (National University of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography) in Bucharest. He began performing stand-up in the late 2000s and co-founded The Fool comedy club in Bucharest in 2018 alongside Micutzu and Nelu Cortea. He is one of the most recognized faces in Romanian stand-up comedy.

Bordea has released several stand-up specials, all available on YouTube. "In Vino Veritas" (2020) was his first solo special, filmed in his hometown of Botosani. "Expus" (2022) was filmed at The Comedy Store in London. "Teoria conspiratiei" (2023) was released as the first Romanian stand-up special to premiere in cinemas, with the theatrical debut on December 8, 2023. "Tras Prin Inel" (2025) is his latest special, an autobiographical set about his Botosani roots. Earlier he appeared in the joint show "Stricam o generatie" (2018) at Sala Palatului alongside Dan Badea and Micutzu. On television, Bordea joined the jury of iUmor (Antena 1) from Season 15 onward and launched the podcast "Un Simplu Podcast cu Bordea si Cortea" in 2018. His comedy is rooted in autobiographical storytelling, turning personal experiences - family, relationships, and life in provincial Romania - into observational and self-deprecating material.

Bordea performs regularly at The Fool comedy club in Bucharest (Calea Victoriei 118), which he co-founded. He also tours nationally, with shows across Romanian cities. His full catalog of stand-up specials is available on his YouTube channel.
