Cristi Popesco is a Romanian stand-up comedian originally from Suceava who has been performing since 2010, when he took the stage for the first time at an open mic at Club 99 in Bucharest. He studied at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences and at the Academy of Economic Studies before committing fully to stand-up comedy. Now based in Bucharest, Popesco is a fixture at Comics Club and one of the recognizable voices in the Romanian stand-up scene.
Cristi Popesco released his debut stand-up special 'Fals Sentiment De Siguranta' in 2024, filmed live at Comics Club and available on ComedyBox and YouTube. In 2025 he followed it with a second special, 'Imi fac secta', also released via ComedyBox. His comedy is rooted in ironic observation and dry wit, often turning personal anxieties and social situations into extended routines.
