Stanislav Yarushin

Yarushin arrived in comedy from the ice. He played for his university hockey team in Chelyabinsk and gave the sport up in 2000 for KVN, the competitive comedy league, joining the team Uyezdny Gorod and taking the Higher League title with them in 2002. He then spent four years acting with a second team, Litsa Uralskoy Natsionalnosti.

Television took the KVN performer and gave him a recurring comic part, Anton Martynov, which he has played across the sitcom Univer and each of its continuations. Away from the sitcom he works mainly as a host: the internet talk show Nochnoy Kontakt, and Yarushin Hockey Show on Match TV, which he produces as well as presents and which puts the two halves of his working life in one studio. He also set up his own production company and has released music albums.
