About Yevgeny Zitev
Yevgeny Zitev is a Russian stand-up comedian and stage actor whose route into performing ran through amateur theatre. He is based in Saratov and performs in Russian, and he has brought his material to Moscow stand-up evenings, the Punchline shows among them.
The theatre background shows most in his solo concerts, which are built less like a string of jokes and more like a staged monologue, with a strong streak of postmodern self-reference running through them.
