Kim Gu-ra

Kim Gu-ra made his name as a host rather than as a sketch performer. He first appeared on Korean television in the nineties, in comedy programmes and skits, and then moved into the chairs that suit him better: variety panels and radio, where the comedy comes from blunt, unflattering commentary delivered with a straight face.

He has been one of the main hosts of Line Up, Radio Star and Quiz that Changes the World, and the same manner carries his radio work. Korean variety television is built on ensembles that talk over each other, and his part in that format is the voice that says the rude thing out loud and then makes the guest answer it.
