Kim Hye-seon

Kim Hye-seon moved to Seoul from Gunsan at twenty, aiming at work as a backup dancer, and switched to comedy instead. To set herself apart she trained at Seoul Action School, and that training ended up being the whole basis of her act.

She entered KBS as one of the broadcaster's twenty-sixth generation of comedians, after an earlier appearance on the talent programme Gag Star. Her first Gag Concert part, a super strength girl in Superstar KBS, was edited out of the broadcast after two airings. What worked was She, The Ultimate Weapon, built from the skit she had brought to her audition: she took over the action scenes of a leading actress and performed feats of strength without a line of dialogue, which got her called the female master, a nod to Kim Byung-man. Later sketches pulled her in other directions. She played a man in War on Broadcasting, a parody of Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time, and appeared in Wait, Wolf, Bboom Entertainment and Daddy's Girl. Away from the sketch show she joined the football programme Kick a Goal and took a cameo in Zombie Detective.
