About Park Na-rae

Park Na-rae is a South Korean comedian and television personality, born October 25, 1985, in Illo-eup, Muan County, South Jeolla Province, and raised in the city of Mokpo. She graduated from Anyang Arts High School and briefly attended Sangmyung University's Cheonan campus before dropping out. She debuted in 2006 after passing KBS's 21st open recruitment for comedians. Long known for prop-heavy sketch characters on shows such as Comedy Big League, she turned to solo stand-up with Glamour Warning, a frank show about love, dating and celebrity life that she performed live on May 17 and 18, 2019, with tickets selling out within five minutes. Netflix released a recorded version on October 16, 2019, as Park Na-rae: Glamour Warning, making her the first Korean woman to release a stand-up comedy special on the platform. In 2019 she also became the first woman since Park Kyung-lim, eighteen years earlier, to win the Daesang, or grand prize, at the MBC Entertainment Awards. In September 2024 she launched a personal YouTube channel, Naraesik, a cooking and talk show that passed 100,000 subscribers within two weeks of its debut.
