About Steve Gallas
Steve Gallas is an American stand-up comedian, writer and producer, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, who is based in Seoul, South Korea. He draws on a background in fiction writing and academia to offer what is described as a unique, satirical perspective on the world, with interests including reading, travel and watching unintentionally funny movies. Gallas regularly performs and hosts comedy open mics at Lit Lounge in Itaewon, and in May 2025 he presented his special "Scenario" at the same venue, built from material he had been consciously developing for a little over a year. He is one of the current leaders of Stand Up Seoul, South Korea's longest-running English-language stand-up organization, alongside fellow comedians Kristen Pimley, Hojip Jeon and Geoff Gaudet, regularly performing and producing shows across the city's comedy scene.
