Udom Taepanich

Udom Taepanich, known by the stage name Nose, is a Thai stand-up comedian, visual artist and writer. He was born on 1 September 1968 in Chonburi, Thailand, to Tongsuk Arilon and Somjit Taepanich, and is the second of three children. He began his career as a comic artist for the magazine Chaiyapruek under the alias "Note Namun" before launching Deaw, a live solo stand-up comedy series, in 1995. By April 2022 the series had grown to thirteen installments, and in 2024 two further specials, "Sit Down with Stand Up" and "Deaw Special," were released on Netflix. He is widely regarded as one of Thailand's most famous comedians. In 2000, Nation Publishing Group named him one of the "Best Persons of the Century in Performing Arts." Beyond comedy, Taepanich starred as the lead actor in the 1998 film "Box," directed by Chatrichalerm Yukol, and has built a parallel career as a visual artist, producing sculptures in bronze, ceramic, fiberglass, iron and wood along with engravings, paintings and tapestries. He has also authored numerous books.
