About Kaan Sezyum
Kaan Sezyum, born Çağatay Kaan Sezgin, has built most of his comedy on the page and on the air. Music came first: he started playing drums in high school and later took over the drum kit in the band Siddhartha, whose album carries the group's name.
As a writer he contributed to the magazines Penguen and Radikal, and after ixir was shut down he prepared the satirical section Gündem Light for Tempo magazine for 290 weeks. In 1999 he set up Sezyum.com, a personal entertainment site that gave his humour its own address on the web.
Radio gave him a microphone of his own. He hosted Sevginin Gücü on Dinamo FM and Standart FM, then Saygıdeğer Eşim on Radyo Eksen, a programme that later moved to YouTube as Saygıdeğer Eski Eşim. His humorous news show Bugünde Bugün outlived its broadcast slot and continued in podcast form.
