Slavik Martyniuk

Slavik Martyniuk is a Ukrainian stand-up comedian who grew up in the town of Kolomyia in the Carpathian region, an upbringing that shaped his early material. He trained in medicine, including psychiatric practice, before leaving the profession for comedy. He won the television competition "Rozsmishy Komika" (Make the Comic Laugh) twice, which helped launch his stand-up career, and he is a resident performer at the "Vilnyi Standup" (Free Standup) club. Martyniuk runs his own YouTube channel and gained wide attention with the show "Medical Stories," performed alongside fellow comedians Bohdan Vakhnych and Nazar Shebela, in which the trio tell comic stories drawn from hospital work, including gynecology and psychiatry, that have drawn millions of views. His solo special "Vse po-novomu" (Everything Anew) has also drawn hundreds of thousands of views online. He is director of West Camp, a camp in the Carpathian Mountains for children and teenagers affected by the war in Ukraine. In 2026 he toured Europe together with Vakhnych, with shows from Leipzig to Barcelona.
