About Valeriia Mandziuk
Mandziuk, who performs as Lera Mandziuk, first went on stage in her first year at Mukachevo State University, where she was studying tourism. Friends pushed her towards an open mic in Uzhhorod, and she won it. She had wanted a place in a KVN team and never found one, so the solo form became the plan rather than the fallback.
Two wins on Rozsmishy komika made her known nationally. She has competed in Stand Up Battle, guested on Zhinochyi Kvartal and taken part in the show Bohynia shopinhu. Her childhood was spent in the village of Lazy in Transcarpathia, and the regional dialect is one of the things she works with on stage. She tours solo programmes in Ukraine and in the European Union, and since the start of the full-scale invasion she has played charity concerts, including for Ukrainian soldiers. On screen she has appeared as herself in the series Zv'yazok and as a mother in the film Vartovi Rizdva.
