About Ahmed Saif
Ahmed Saif is an Emirati stand-up comedian and actor who began his artistic career in 2011 on the stage of the Ministry of Culture and Youth in Abu Dhabi, joining the "Ayal Zayed" theatrical troupe before moving into stand-up comedy. After stepping away from the stage for several years, he returned to comedy with ambitious new projects and co-founded the Emirati Comedy Club together with fellow comedian Bin Swelah, open to any Arabic-speaking stand-up performer and created to give local comedians a shared platform and build a stronger stand-up scene in the UAE. Known for sharp observations, crowd work and humor rooted in everyday life, Saif has performed live stand-up sets at the Dubai Comedy Festival and at Shams Comedy Club in Sharjah, and in October 2025 he headlined his own solo Arabic-language stand-up show, "Wyn Tabaa?," at Playhouse Studio Theatre in the Mall of the Emirates, discussing his medical treatment abroad, the pressures of fame and family pressure to marry. He has also built a following on Instagram and Snapchat with viral comedy sketches. Alongside his stand-up work, he built a film career, starring in the comedy films "Uncle Naji in UAE" and its sequel "Uncle Naji 2," both distributed internationally on Netflix, marking his move from social-media sketches and theatre into feature film acting as well.
