About Connor Burns
Connor Burns is a Scottish stand-up comedian from the Gilmerton area of Edinburgh, known for sharp joke writing and a fast-paced, cynical delivery. He began performing in 2017, doing his first five minutes at a pub called YesBar in Glasgow while working as a washing machine and tumble dryer repairman. In 2020 he was named one of Chortle's "Ones to Watch."
Burns debuted his first full hour, Live Laugh Loathe, at the 2022 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and made his UK television debut that year on BBC Scotland's Edinburgh Unlocked. His follow-up show, Vertigo, sold out at the 2023 Fringe and added over 2,000 extra seats, later touring nationally and to New York, where it played the New York Comedy Festival and an off-Broadway run; Vertigo was released as his first comedy special via the 800 Pound Gorilla label. His third hour, 1994, toured the UK, Europe and Australia, where Burns closed the Sydney Comedy Festival Gala at the Sydney Opera House and taped a set for Just for Laughs.
Burns has opened for fellow Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss across three continents and is a regular on BBC Radio Scotland's Breaking the News. In 2025 he signed with talent agency UTA.
