About Jimmy Carr
Jimmy Carr, full name James Anthony Patrick Carr, is a British and Irish stand-up comedian, presenter, and actor born on 15 September 1972 in Isleworth, London. He is the second of three sons of Irish parents, Nora Mary and Patrick James Carr, and holds dual British and Irish citizenship, often travelling on an Irish passport. Carr studied social and political science at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, graduating with first-class honours in 1994, and worked in marketing at Shell before taking voluntary redundancy in January 2000.
