Nicholas De Santo

Nicholas De Santo is a stand-up comedian based in London who was born in Italy. According to his biography, his family relocated to Iran when he was around eleven years old, and he spent his teenage years there before eventually settling in the United Kingdom, where he worked as a journalist for the BBC World Service. He says that after he began performing right-leaning, counter-culture stand-up comedy and political satire, he was forced to leave the BBC and was banned from several London comedy clubs. He is described as one of a small number of openly conservative stand-up comedians in the UK. In 2019 he was a finalist at New Act of the Year (NATYS), a leading UK competition for emerging comedians, held at the Hackney Empire. In 2020 The Spectator named him among the best "unwoke" comics to watch. He has performed in the UK, the United States and Canada, has appeared as a panellist on GB News, and his YouTube channel, Anglo Italian Comedy, has drawn more than 10 million views.
