About Rosie Jones

Rosie Jones (born 24 June 1990) is a British comedian, writer and actress. Born Rosie Luisa Jones, she grew up in Bridlington, Humberside (now the East Riding of Yorkshire), where her parents are teachers, and went to Headlands School. After graduating with a B.A. in English Language and Creative Writing from the University of Huddersfield in 2011, she was hired as a junior researcher for Objective Media Group as part of a disability scheme at Channel 4, and later began a screenwriting class at the National Film and Television School. She incorporates her cerebral palsy into her comedic style.

Jones began her career as a writer on panel shows, writing for The Last Leg during their coverage of the 2016 Summer Olympics, as well as Harry Hill's Alien Fun Capsule, Would I Lie to You? and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She co-wrote episode four of the second season of the Netflix comedy-drama Sex Education with creator Laurie Nunn. She went on to appear as a guest on The Last Leg, 8 Out of 10 Cats, QI, and Hypothetical, and attended the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo as a roving reporter for The Last Leg.

In May 2021 she starred in her own Channel 4 series, Trip Hazard: My Great British Adventure, which was nominated for a BAFTA. She presented the 2023 documentary Rosie Jones: Am I a R*tard?, about online hate speech against disabled people, and the cooking show Dine Hard. She appeared as a contestant in the eighteenth series of Taskmaster and starred in the Channel 4 sitcom Pushers, an expansion of her series Disability Benefits, which aired on 19 June 2025; for her performance she was nominated for the British Academy Television Award for Best Female Comedy Performance in 2026. She also authored a children's book, The Amazing Edie Eckhart, and its sequel The Big Trip, and with Helen Bauer hosts the podcast Daddy Look at Me.
