About Anish Shah
Anish Shah came to stand-up from business. He holds an MBA from Yale and worked as a consultant at McKinsey before changing course in 2010. That background turned into material: his B-School Made Me Funny tour is a one-hour act about business school and corporate life, and it played campuses including Yale, Dartmouth and UCLA.
He also produces. He put together and headlined No Laughing Matter, a tour with comics such as Azhar Usman and Parvesh Cheena that raised money for the Save a Mother Foundation, and he created and hosted International Incident at Carolines on Broadway, a show chosen several times for the New York Comedy Festival. In 2016 NBC picked him for its Late Night Writers Program, and CBS selected him for its Diversity Showcase. On television he has appeared in a comedy special alongside Kunal Nayyar.
