About Billy Anderson
Billy Anderson was born in Texas and grew up in Augusta, Georgia, and his stand-up has been performed in every US state. Festivals built much of his early reputation: SketchFest Seattle, The Washington Comedy Festival, Bumbershoot, SF Sketchfest and LaLaFest Los Angeles, along with the San Francisco International Comedy Competition. In 2016 he made the final of the Seattle International Comedy Competition.
His first comedy special, America's Sweetheart, was released through the Dry Bar Comedy series on Amazon Prime. On television he turned up in the third season of Laughs, a syndicated programme on Fox, and on audio in Sounds Like America, the Audible series hosted by Jackie Kashian.
Stand-up is only part of the job. He bills himself as a writer and producer too, with material written for Cracked.com, and in Los Angeles he is a regular at the Hollywood Improv as host of the showcase The Gateway Show, which he also takes on the road internationally.
