About Brian Holtzman
Brian Holtzman is a United States stand-up comedian born August 31, 1961 on Long Island, New York. A veteran club comic with roots in the Bay Area scene of the late 1980s, he is now a fixture at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles and Joe Rogan's Comedy Mothership in Austin, often cited as one of Rogan's favorite comedians.
Brian Holtzman released his first stand-up special #CANCELHOLTZMAN on YouTube in 2023, followed by #CANCELHOLTZMAN2 in 2024. After serving in the United States Air Force, he started doing stand-up in the Bay Area at the Holy City Zoo, the Other Cafe and the Punchline, becoming a regional favorite. He has appeared on television in My Wife and Kids, Mind of Mencia and Minding the Store, plus films including Pauly Shore Is Dead and Looking for Lenny. He was featured in the Showtime documentary The Comedy Store (2020). His comedy is raunchy, hyper-specific and unapologetically old-school, polished over four decades of club work.
Brian Holtzman headlines and features regularly at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles and the Comedy Mothership in Austin, with frequent dates at the Improv chain (Brea, Addison, Levity Live) and Skankfest festival appearances. He also performs at New York Comedy Club and The Stand in Manhattan. Both #CANCELHOLTZMAN specials remain free on YouTube.
