About Caleb Daniel Hearon

Caleb Hearon (born Caleb Daniel Hearon on January 24, 1995) is an American stand-up comedian, actor and podcaster. He grew up in the rural town of Chillicothe, Missouri, raised in a Christian household by his young, single mother and an active member of his church. He attended Missouri State University as a sociopolitical communication major with plans to attend law school, but after joining the improv team he decided to pursue a career in comedy, moving to Chicago after graduating in 2017.

In Chicago, Hearon produced a weekly variety show at the iO Theater and co-hosted a monthly stand-up showcase called At What Cost? with fellow comedian Holmes at the Lincoln Lodge, later touring it across New York and Los Angeles. In 2019 a Saturday Night Live scout saw him perform and invited him to audition in front of Lorne Michaels; after the show turned him down, he began posting character videos on Twitter that gained wider prominence. In June 2025 he inked a deal with HBO for his debut comedy special, Model Comedian, taped in Chicago, directed by Sandy Honig, and premiered in September 2025.

Hearon had minor roles in television series including Work in Progress, Fargo (2020), Crank Yankers (2021) and Killing It (2023), and in 2020 joined the writing staff for Human Resources, a Big Mouth spin-off that premiered in 2022. His film work includes I Used to Be Funny (2023) and Sweethearts (2024), in which he played Palmer. His solo podcast So True with Caleb Hearon debuted in February 2024 and became a Headgum podcast that October, and it currently has more than four hundred thousand YouTube subscribers.
