About Francesca Fiorentini
Francesca Fiorentini came to comedy from political journalism, and her comedy has stayed close to the news. Born in Palo Alto, she studied at New York University and started out in 2004 as an editor, working with the War Resisters League and Left Turn magazine.
Her best-known comic vehicle was Newsbroke, the AJ+ show she hosted, which gave current events a comedic spin aimed at younger viewers; in 2018 it was shortlisted for an Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Short-Form Variety Series category. At AJ+ she was also a senior producer. From 2016 she worked as a contributor at The Young Turks, where she co-hosted The Damage Report with John Iadarola.
In 2018 she launched her own podcast, The Bitchuation Room. For MSNBC she hosted the special Red, White & Who about American healthcare, and in 2025 she began co-hosting America Unhinged with Wajahat Ali for Zeteo on YouTube.
