About Hannah Berner
Hannah Berner (born Hannah Lucy Berner; 12 August 1991) is an American comedian, television personality, podcast host, and author. She is best known for her and Paige DeSorbo's podcast Giggly Squad and her Netflix special We Ride at Dawn. She also appeared on Summer House. Berner was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and attended the Beacon School before the University of Wisconsin, where she played tennis and pursued a bachelor's degree in communication arts rhetoric with a certificate in gender and women's studies.
Early in her career, Berner worked at the digital media company Betches, then appeared on seasons 3 through 5 of Summer House. She became very popular on TikTok and other social media for her comedy interview bits, such as "Han on the Street." Her Netflix stand-up special We Ride at Dawn was released on 9 July 2024 and premiered at number two on the Netflix charts. She hosts two podcasts: Giggly Squad with Paige DeSorbo and Berner Phone with her husband Des Bishop, which have garnered over 100 million combined downloads. Berner and DeSorbo won Podcast of the Year for Giggly Squad at the 2026 iHeart Podcast Awards.
A 2024 New York Times feature quoted Whitney Cummings, who described Berner as "funny without the darkness and without hurting anybody." She was named one of Variety's "Top 10 Comics to Watch" in 2023 and opened for Amy Poehler and Tina Fey's Restless Leg comedy tour in May 2025. In February 2021, Berner became engaged to Irish-American comedian Des Bishop, and they married in The Hamptons on 13 May 2022.
