About Jamie Kaler
Jamie Kaler, born in Hooksett, New Hampshire, took an unusual road to the comedy club. After Boston University he served as a lieutenant in the United States Navy, stationed in San Diego, and only then began doing stand-up, working his way into the Los Angeles scene. He also performed with the sketch company of the ACME Comedy Theatre.
My Boys on TBS gave him his best known part as Mike Callahan, but his screen credits spread much wider, with guest and recurring turns on Friends, Will & Grace, The King of Queens, Monk, How I Met Your Mother and Shake It Up. He lent his voice to Robot Chicken, played a helicopter pilot in the film D-War, and hosted America: Facts vs. Fiction on the American Heroes Channel.
