About Joe Wong
Joe Wong, born Huang Xi in Baishan, Jilin, in northeastern China, into an ethnic Korean family, is a Chinese American stand-up comedian and former biochemistry researcher. He earned a PhD in biochemistry from Rice University in 2000 before moving to Boston in 2001, where he began performing comedy at venues including the All Asia Bar and Stash's Comedy Jam.
