About Kerri Pomarolli
Kerri Pomarolli is an American comedian, actor, and author based in Los Angeles. She is known for appearing on Judge Judy and has appeared in over 75 stage productions, with recurring roles on Port Charles, The Young and The Restless, and General Hospital. She has appeared in motion pictures such as DeadLock and Netflix's The Brennan Manning Story. She starred in and co-produced I Love Kerri, and has toured in stage productions from Off Broadway to Italy, including the leading role of Vindice at the Young Vic Theatre in London. She has published four books, beginning with Guys Like Girls Named Jennie in 2008.
Pomarolli was born in Dearborn, Michigan. At the age of 11 she was diagnosed with scoliosis and could not pursue a career in dancing, so she turned to theatre, being cast as the lead in a local production of Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour. She graduated from Northville High School and the University of Michigan, where she earned a Musical Theatre BFA. She also studied drama in London at the British American Drama Academy, at the Stella Adler Conservatory in NYC, and studied comedy at The Groundlings and Second City in LA.
After graduating, Pomarolli moved to Hollywood and pursued an acting career, but branched into stand-up comedy because the roles she was offered were challenging to her as a person of faith. She co-founded Act in Faith, a drama ministry. She has appeared on The Tonight Show multiple times parodying Jenna Bush and Tonya Harding, and has been a correspondent to CNN's Showbiz Tonight on faith in Hollywood. She wrote the book Moms Night Out that came with the motion picture starring Patricia Heaton, was voted Comedian of the Year by the LA Red Letter Awards 2023, and had a successful Dry Bar Comedy Special.
