About Martin Amini
Martin Amini is an American stand-up comedian whose material draws heavily on his upbringing in the United States as the child of immigrant parents from mixed cultural backgrounds. His comedy incorporates crowd work as a significant element, and he has described his approach to the craft in terms of connection and relationship - earning him the informal title of the cupid of stand-up comedy, a label he attributes to the personal inspiration he draws from his own marriage.
Amini is the founder of Room 808, a comedy club that was named one of the best comedy venues in its city by The Washington Post in 2024.
