Active in stand-up since around 2010, he broke through nationally as a top 10 finalist on NBC's Last Comic Standing in 2014 and is now based on the East Coast comedy circuit, performing regularly at The Stand NYC and on national club tours.
Monroe Martin reached the top 10 on season 8 of Last Comic Standing on NBC in 2014, which opened the door to a string of TV credits including Adam DeVine's House Party on Comedy Central, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, MTV2's Guy Code and Joking Off, and truTV's Comedy Knockout. His comedy is rooted in his childhood in the Philadelphia foster care system, which he turns into honest, down-to-earth storytelling about identity, family and survival. He continues to tour the United States with theater and club dates.
