About Tommy Johnagin

Tommy Johnagin is an American stand-up comedian and television writer born March 25, 1983 in Benton, Illinois. He started doing stand-up at 18, dropped out of college at 21 to chase comedy full time, and broke through nationally in 2010 by finishing as the runner-up on the seventh season of NBC's Last Comic Standing. His autobiographical, technically tight, and largely clean material has made him a road favorite for over two decades.

Tommy Johnagin was named the highest reviewed New Face at the 2007 Just for Laughs festival in Montreal, performed his first set on the Late Show with David Letterman in May 2008, and has appeared on Letterman seven times in total: a number very few stand-ups of his generation can match. He starred in his own half-hour Comedy Central Presents special in January 2009, returned to the network for The Half Hour in 2014, and released the stand-up album Stand-Up Comedy 3 the same year on Comedy Central Records. His other television credits include John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show, CMT's Comedy Stage and TBS's Very Funny Stand Up Show. Beyond stand-up he became a writer on the CBS sitcom Man with a Plan, Netflix's That '90s Show and CBS's How We Roll, transitioning into Hollywood while continuing to headline clubs across the country.

Tommy Johnagin headlines comedy clubs across the United States year round, with regular stops at Comedy Works in Denver, Helium Comedy Club and the Improv chain. His tour dates and current schedule are listed on johnagin.com, and his television credits and short clips are available on his YouTube playlist.
