About Tony Baker
Tony Baker is an American stand-up comedian and social media entertainer born on May 17, 1977, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He is one of the most widely followed comedians on social media in the United States, best known for his viral voice-over videos in which he dubs over clips of animals and children with comedic internal monologues. Baker has built an audience of over 6.5 million followers on TikTok and 3 million on Instagram, making him one of the few stand-up comedians to convert a massive digital following into a full touring career.
Before his viral social media success, Baker built a strong foundation as a traditional touring stand-up comedian. He was a finalist on NBC's The Last Comic Standing in both Season 8 and Season 9, which gave him national visibility. He also won the 37th Annual San Francisco International Comedy Competition and was named L.A.'s Funniest Comic. He appeared on NBC's The Carmichael Show (Season 2) and HBO's All DEF Comedy (Season 1). His debut stand-up special 'Scaredy Cat' was released in 2018 on iTunes and Google Play. His voice-over comedy style - deadpan narration layered over animal or everyday video clips - became a viral format with hundreds of millions of views across platforms. Baker continues to tour nationally and maintains one of the most active social media presences of any working stand-up comedian.
Tony Baker tours comedy clubs and theaters across the United States, including regular appearances at the Comedy Store and Comedy Works. His debut special 'Scaredy Cat' (2018) is available on iTunes and Google Play.
